In 1883 Motoyuki authored a picture book entitled Shinsen Banshoku Hinagata (i.e., New Models of All Things). It provided artisans with models of objects commonly used to decorate consumer goods. This gallery shows twenty-nine of the book’s pages which included pictures of flowers and (or) birds. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Motoyuki drew the shapes of objects in a true-to-life way but he did not include their true colors.
